Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of Campaign 4 are included.
The Soldiers Table Introduced
Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to undertake their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team features Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
With 13 cast members, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.
At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might seem out of place, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
Casimir then paid off his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each member has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants retribution.
- Kattigan has experience in Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile environment.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
- However, their position as important members in the powerful family could enable the group reach areas they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the setting for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and The healer defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This results in them few options but to travel to Timmony in quest for Casimir.
